Currently accepting new clients + evenings + weekends via telehealth!

Hi, I’m Crystal!

Person seated outdoors in desert landscape with cacti and mountains.

So glad you’re here! I love to spend time with my daughter, travel new places and have lived in several places around the country. I adore Arizona and have made this my permanent home. I understand what it’s like to have to transition in many different aspects of life as an adoptive parent and individual.

Perhaps you found yourself here because you’re feeling tired or lost and are in need of a safe space to process your latest challenges. Maybe you are a parent who is adopting or struggling with your child's emotions and behaviors or an adult trying to adult. I offer a warm and down to earth approach to counseling and hold a nonjudgmental, empathic space to help you navigate whatever stressors you're facing.

Whether you're a parent, teen or adult, I am here to offer compassion and hold space for you. I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families and offer a variety of cognitive and play therapy approaches using online games and interactive activities.

I believe that our relationship is collaborative and that you have inner-strengths within, my goal is to help you figure them out and empower you along the way. When you feel seen, heard and understood, you can gain freedom, confidence and make more genuine and healthy choices in your life. I would be honored to help you get there!

My rate is $190 for initial diagnostic evaluations and $175 for ongoing sessions (50 minutes). Families and couples are $190 per session (60 minutes). I provide super bills to submit to insurance.

I accept Aetna, Lyra Employee Assistance Program, Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA), and private pay.

  • I received my undergraduate degree from Johnson C . Smith University in 1990 and my graduate degree in Counseling from Eastern University in 2004.

My education, professional training and experience have prepared me to provide counseling using an array of treatment modalities to include: Active listening, role-play, simulation, parent-child interactive sessions, behavioral assignments, activity monitoring, thought recording and other individualized counseling services.

  • Individual Therapy - Ages 8+: Discover a safe and supportive space for personal growth and exploration tailored to individuals aged 8 and above.

Where I Practice

  • I see clients virtually and with limited office sessions available in Northwest Tucson. I accept ESA, Lyra Employee Assistance Program, Aetna and private pay.

  • I see clients virtually in Nevada and accept Aetna, Lyra EAP, Quest Behavioral Health and private pay.

  • I see clients virtually in North Carolina and accept Aetna, Lyra EAP, Quest Behavioral Health and private pay.

  • I see clients virtually in South Carolina and accept Aetna, Lyra EAP, Quest Behavioral Health and private pay.

  • I can see clients virtually in Viriginia and accept Aetna, Lyra EAP, Quest Behavioral Health and private pay.

  • One of the things I love about offering telehealth is how much easier it makes getting support. You don’t have to worry about commuting, sitting in traffic, or finding parking—just log in from wherever you’re most comfortable (yes to pajama pants).

If you deal with a busy schedule, chronic health, anxiety, or executive dysfunction, telehealth can take a lot of the pressure off. It also means we can work together even if you're not close by, especially if you're looking for a therapist who understands neurodivergence.

For a lot of people, it’s just easier to show up consistently when “showing up” means clicking a link and settling into your own space.

  • "Crystal sets up a fun environment where my kid actually looks forward to sessions and doesn't want to leave. I can see positive changes in a short time frame since having my child work with Crystal."

    CLIENT TESTIMONIAL

  • "I trust and value Crystal and her approach to therapy so much that I am recommending her to my own family and friends."

    CLIENT TESTIMONIAL

What it’s like to work with me.

  • My foundation is based in Person-Centered therapy where I believe you have inner-strengths and wisdom within you.

I pull from a variety of techniques including role-play, simulation, parent-child interaction, behavioral assignments, activity monitoring, thought records and provide individualized, eclectic approaches to fit your personality and learning style.

  • I have been told I have gentle, playful and warm personality. I'm patient and will give you as much time as you need to get all your thoughts out. I love to use laughter and humor to lighten things up when we need it.

  • I work with a variety of ages from young children to older adults. My clients are typically dealing with family or relationship stressors, mood disorders or are in the process of adoption or fostering.

My child and adolescent clients are usually needing to process balancing family, school and peer dynamics.
