Accepting new clients

Hi, I’m Rachel!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Arizona and have been working in the behavioral health field for over 10 years. I love spending time with my 4 year old daughter, 2 year old son, husband and two hyperactive pugs who will say hello to you if you do video sessions!

I spend my free time playing video games and gardening and am a big fan of the Elder Scrolls series, Zelda and The Witcher.

As a child, I struggled with feeling deeply, navigating my identity as well growing up wildly neurodivergent and unaware. I felt misunderstood and as if there was something wrong with me. After getting diagnosed in college and getting my own support, I was able to understand that there was hope to find tools to function better in my relationships and work life and ways to channel my AuDHD brain in a more productive way.

I am taking new clients and have plenty of telehealth slots with limited in person availibility.

  • I hold a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy, specializing in violin, from ASU, and obtained my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix Tucson Campus in 2018. With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, my journey began as a case manager facilitating connections to community resources. I then transitioned to roles as a music therapist within inpatient hospital settings before settling into my current position as a psychotherapist in both community mental health and private practice settings. Throughout my career, I've primarily focused on working with children and adolescents, utilizing modalities such as Play Therapy, Music Therapy, and Sand Tray to support their growth and healing.

What it’s like to work with me.

  • I use a Person-Centered and authentic approach, meaning I talk the way I would in normal every day life. I cuss, use sarcasm and self-disclose when it's clinically appropriate to support you.

  • I have been told that I'm weird, relatable and warm. I am trying to break the stigma of being neurodivergent or having mental health issues, so I'm honored to be called these things!

  • I tend to get middle school-young adults but love working with middle or older adults as well! My clients are typically dealing with potentially being neurodivergent (ADHD or Autism, or both) and working on perfectionism, boundaries and black and white thinking.

  • "Rachel makes the process easy for my child to feel comfortable and open up. She focuses on the relationship first and makes sure that my kid can look forward to and benefit from therapy."

    CLIENT TESTIMONIAL

  • "Rachel creates a space where I can explore what is important to me while being open and sharing in the experience in a way that feels safe and inviting."
